EPAM partnered with Global Generation for the fourth consecutive year, supporting the community through volunteering at The Story Garden’s new Triangle site in King’s Cross. This annual initiative offered EPAM and First Derivative employees a welcome opportunity to step away from their day-to-day roles and engage in meaningful community work, surrounded by colleagues who share a passion for giving back and sustainability.
The Story Garden is more than just a green space, it’s a vibrant community hub that delivers a positive and tangible impact on the lives of local residents. The activities were open to all who attended, ranging from planting and wildlife gardening to light construction tasks. Whether you were digging in the soil, tending to plants, or learning about forest gardening, everyone found a way to contribute and connect.
“It was refreshing to put my phone down for a few hours and actually feel present in the moment, getting involved with weeding, planting seeds, and learning about soil health and forest gardening. I got to chat with colleagues I’d never spoken to before, which you don’t always get the chance to do. Working alongside each other in a garden makes conversation flow more naturally than in the office.” – Elliott
“This volunteering event is a great opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the local community, build new connections across EPAM & FD and support an initiative that promotes environmental sustainability and community wellbeing. And for me, the afternoon helped me think and appreciate what is beyond the office!” – Neil
This event was an excellent opportunity to give back to the local community, support a meaningful environmental initiative, and connect with colleagues while making a positive impact beyond our day-to-day work.
Thanks
