David Collins

Chief Executive Officer

David Collins has been Chief Executive Officer of First Derivative since July 2020, where he is responsible for driving the business forward and shaping the company’s strategic vision and global objectives. Under his leadership, the firm continues to innovate and grow, employing approximately 1,800 people across 15 international offices.

Before joining First Derivative, David held a number of senior leadership roles, including Managing Director at GFT Group in London, Partner and Global Head of Technology Trading at Capco, Chief Executive Officer of City Practitioners Inc. in New York and Chief Marketing Officer at Super Derivatives Inc. These roles have equipped him with extensive expertise in leading organisations through transformation, delivering strategic growth, and building innovative, high-performing teams.

David has a strong personal commitment to innovation, change, and problem-solving. He is particularly passionate about applying cutting-edge technology to complex business challenges to create differentiated, high-impact solutions. He is also a dedicated advocate for modernising the workplace and advancing gender diversity, with a focus on empowerment and development. In recognition of this, he was named ‘Male Advocate of the Year’ at the 2023 Women in Business Awards.

David’s key areas of expertise include strategic leadership, technology-driven transformation, corporate communications, organisational change, and diversity advocacy.

Mark Moore

Chief Financial Officer

Mark was appointed Chief Financial Officer of First Derivative in October 2021. He has responsibility for the financial operations of First Derivative.  Mark brings extensive financial knowledge and risk management experience having over twenty years’ experience in leadership and finance roles as Director in Deloitte, Group Financial Controller at Greencore Group Plc and Head of Finance at Glen Dimplex.

Andy Colhoun

VP, Head of FD Delivery and Operations

Andy joined First Derivative in 2015 and is the global head of the Technology Services division, overseeing strategy and delivery of specialised software services and partnerships with a key focus on the build out of Managed Services.

With over 25 year’s experience in Financial Services, Andy started his career as a qualified accountant in the Finance area of retail and private investment banks in the UK. Prior to First Derivative he was Head of Finance and Head of Transformation for several Real Estate and Public Sector Financing Banks in Ireland and Germany.

Susann Wisnewski

Chief Legal Officer

Susann was appointed Chief Legal Officer of First Derivative in April 2022. She is responsible for all commercial contracts with First Derivative’s clients, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors; as well as other legal matters evolving around the business. Susann has extensive experience in commercial contracting and spent 8 years negotiating IT services, consulting, software and hardware agreements globally within IBM and Accenture and later moved to Indeed to gain further insights and skills as an In-house counsel.

Fiona McGilly

Chief People Officer

Fiona joined First Derivatives in 2017. Fiona was appointed as the Head of People for the First Derivative business in March 2023. Her responsibility is to lead the People agenda to attract, retain and develop our people across the globe focusing on culture and talent with the use of technology and data.

Fiona has MSc and BSc in Human Resources and over 15 years experience in HR, across Insurance, Investment banking and consulting.

Leon Orr

Chief Solutions Officer

He has successfully delivered technology driven change programmes in financial services for over twenty years. He has experience across all asset classes in the front office, as well as middle office and finance. His clients include global firms such as HSBC, Deutsche Bank, NatWest Markets and ABN Amro.

A computer science graduate of Imperial College, Leon has delivered projects and led teams to win six national industry awards including the Best Use of IT in Wholesale and Investment Banking (FS Tech), Business IT Innovation of the Year (BCS) and Best FX Platform for Corporates (FX Week).

AnneMarie Patterson

Director, Head of Operations

An experienced Project Manager with a Finance background working in the Finance-IT industry for 10 years. Experience managing small and larger projects throughout the project lifecycle and to aggressive timeframes. Worked on regulatory initiatives as well as new application onboarding, decommissioning projects, application upgrades and direct management of Front Office support teams. Excellent ability to solve business and technology issues through efficient project management, strong analytical and communication skills.

Elizabeth Toner

Director, Head of Marketing

Elizabeth was appointed Director of Brand and Experience in July 2022. Prior to this, Elizabeth has spent her early career working in Events and PR with a demonstrated history of 12+ years working in the Capital markets and Fintech industry space. Skilled in several roles within the People team including Employee Resourcing, Marketing and Event Management, Global Recruitment with qualifications from University of Ulster and QUB. Most recently Elizabeth’s responsibility is to ensure we continuously improve our ‘People Experience’, developing our global brand, and designing talent and marketing strategies to continue to attract, develop and retain world class talent to the First Derivative organisation.

Eve Jackson

Director, Head of Recruitment and Resourcing

Eve joined First Derivative in 2014 and has grown and progressed throughout this time. She was appointed as the Business Manager for Business Services in July 2020. She is responsible for all Operations within Business Services, Globally. Eve started her career in Operations/Recruitment/HR over 20 years ago within Financial Services, Accounting and Finance and Recruitment.

Victoria Shanks

Managing Director, Sales and Account Management

Since joining in 1998, Victoria has held several roles across the First Derivative including office manager, marketing manager, financial engineer, software sales, global account management and working with many of the world’s leading banking and buyside institutions. Now Managing Director, Sales and Account Management, Victoria continues to play a key role in the company’s growth. Victoria holds an Engineering degree from Queens University Belfast and an MBA.
