As the year edges toward its close, it felt like the right moment to pause, step back, and reconnect with the people who’ve been part of our journey over the past twelve months. Our annual Client Appreciation Festive Celebration in Toronto ended up being exactly that, an easy, relaxed evening that grew into something genuinely energising.
Kelly’s Landing on Front Street provided the perfect venue. As people started to arrive, the atmosphere settled quickly into that sweet spot between laid-back and lively. By the time things were in full swing, we had around 50–60 people through the door, filling the space with the kind of conversations you can only really have at the end of a long year — reflective, optimistic, and full of shared stories.
It was especially great to introduce our EPAM colleagues and highlight the world-leading engineering capabilities that we now provide. The evening also offered the perfect chance for clients to expand their networks and for leaders across the Toronto banking market to reconnect. Their presence added a real sense of occasion, but the tone of the night stayed informal and approachable with no formal speeches, no agenda, just a chance to properly catch up. The mix of people in the room created its own rhythm, with conversations flowing naturally and old connections resurfacing.
What stood out most was how many meaningful discussions happened without any prompting. These genuine exchanges sparked ideas, opened new doors, and in a few cases have already led to business progressing. It was a reminder that sometimes the best opportunities don’t come from structured sessions, but from people talking openly in the right environment.
For our team, the night was more than just a social get-together. It was a chance to reflect on the work we’ve done together through the year, the challenges we’ve navigated, and the trust that underpins every partnership. Events like this reinforce that the strength of our relationships isn’t built solely through projects or deliverables, but through the conversations and connections that happen outside the meeting room
As the evening wrapped up, there was a clear sense of momentum heading into the new year, a feeling that the evening had sparked something positive and set the tone for what’s next.
